BRS Annual Meeting 2017

25 - 27 June 2017, Bristol, UK

Welcome

We are delighted to welcome you to the website for the 2017 BRS meeting and to act as your hosts during the meeting.  We're proud to host the meeting in the lively city of Bristol. The venue for the meeting is the science centre At Bristol on the historic harbourside, which provides excellent meeting facilities in a central location. We hope you will be able to join us.

BRS meetings are renowned for their friendly atmosphere and networking opportunities, as well as their high quality and exciting science.  The 2017 meeting will feature a broad-ranging programme with sessions on:

Symposia:

  • The microbiome and bone
  • HIV and bone
  • Physical activity and bone
  • Blood vessels and bone
  • Genetics of bone

Debate: Osteoporosis: Nature or Nurture?

Workshops:

  • Muscle and bone
  • Rare bone disease

As well as a dedicated New Investigator Session and - for the first time at BRS - a number of Meet the Professor sessions.

We are delighted that the Dent Award Lecture will be given by Lance Lanyon, who qualified from the University of Bristol in 1966 and has since gone on to become an outstanding figure in the field of veterinary science.  We look forward to his lecture and award presentation.

We hope you will submit your work for inclusion in this exciting programme and look forward to seeing you at the meeting!
